Tirupur: On behalf of Tirupur district musicians, tribute was paid to playback singer SP Balasubramaniam who passed away on the 25th due to ill health.
SP Balasubramaniam, who sang over 40,000 songs in 15 languages including Tamil and Telugu, passed away 2 days. In tribute to his death, Tirupur District Stage and Musicians union sang his songs continuously in front of the Tirupur Kumaran Memorial.
Also, they wore garlands to his decorated portrait, carried candles and expressed their homage.
The event was attended by a large number of people including boys, girls and the general public who paid their heartfelt tributes to SBP.
