Counselling for filling vacant seats at Coimbatore Government Arts College on September 28 and 29
Coimbatore: The final phase of counseling for filling vacant seats up at the Coimbatore Government Arts College will be held tomorrow and the day after.
Coimbatore Government Arts colleges teaches 24 disciplines including B.Sc. Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Zoology, B.A. Tamil and English, B.B.A., and B.Com. Admission of first year students for these courses has been going on since the beginning of this month. These seats are being filled through counselling based on the marks obtained by the students and Government reservation. Under the circumstances, the final phase of counseling for filling vacant seats up at the Coimbatore Government Arts College will be held on September 28 and 29.
Speaking about this, the Principal of the college Chitra said, "Coimbatore Government Arts College has 1,433 seats for 24 courses of which 1,330 seats have been filled so far. More than 90 per cent of the courses including B.Com-CA and B.B.A. There are only a few vacancies left for science courses.
The final counseling for these vacancies will take place on the 28th. Students who applied already and could not secure seats can appear with their original certificates. Those who have not applied yet can appear as will their originals.and places are not available should attend with their original mark certificate. These vacancies will be filled on the basis of class 12 marks as per Government of reservation."
