Coimbatore: A protest was held in Coimbatore on behalf of Periyarist Organizations against Farm Bills-2020.
Protests are taking place across the country condemning the Agriculture Law Amendment Bill. As part of this, the Periyarist Organizations staged a protest in front of the Periyar statue in the Gandhipuram area of Coimbatore.
Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam, May 17 Iyakkam, Viduthalai Siruthaigal Katchi and various organizations participated in the protest and raised slogans. Protesters said the bills are against farmers and in favor of big businesses.
