Coimbatore: Residents of a private apartment complex on Coimbatore -Trichy Road staged a sit-in protest on Saturday morning, demanding immediate provision of basic amenities including drinking water.
Over 500 families live in TVH Apartments on Trichy Road in Coimbatore. Residents allege that houses were handed over to them in 2015, 2016 and 2019, in various phases. The promised facilities by the promoters including drinking water connection and parking facilities are not been provided.
A few days ago, residents of the apartment besieged the office of the CEO of TVH demanding to fulfill their promises made during sale. They withdrew the protest after the management promised to look into the matter, on priority.

Accusing that the management have not met their commitment, the residents engaged in a sit-in protest inside the apartment complex today.

Following this, police and revenue department personnel who arrived there held talks with the protestors.

The irked residents complained about the lack of amenities such as drinking water to the officials.
"There are 850 houses here. No drinking water is provided only bore water is supplied, which is unacceptable", a resident told.
