Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner inspects segregation of waste
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner inspectsed segregation of waste. Corporation Commissioner P. Kumaravel Pandian today inspected the various development works being carried out by the Corporation in the West and South Zones of the Corporation.
He personally inspected the making of biogas from food and vegetable waste near, Ward No.22, West Zone, Corporation Bharathi Park.
Later, the Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer personally inspected composting of segregated degradable and non-degradable garbage.
He also inspected the segregation of waste in the apartments in the area. He said that the process will be followed in all apartments at the area.
The collected garbage will be transported by a vehicle to the solid waste management centre.
He also inspected the transport of waste from RS Puram Uzhavar Sandhai to the micro compost centre.
He then inspected the removal of blockages on the waterway under the bridge at Ponnaiyarajapuram Palanisamy Colony in the South Zone by the cleaning staff.
Later, he visited and inspected the Selva Chinthamani Julam which is being rehabilitated with construction of parks and strengthening of the bunds. Zonal Assistant Commissioners T.R.Ravi (South), AJ Senthil Arasan (West), Assistant Engineers Sundarajan, Hemalatha, Kamalakkannan, Zonal Health Officers Gunasekaran, Loganathan and Corporation Officers were present.
