The Nilgiris: District Collector Innocent Divya inaugurated the vehicle for mobile fair price shops in Coonoor as part of the first phase on Friday.
A new project called Amma Mobile Fair Price Shop has been implemented through which goods from fair price shops are distributed at doorsteps. Accordingly, Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy launched this project on the 21st at an estimated cost of 9 crore 66 lakh rupees. Three lakh 501 mobile ration shops have been set up across Tamil Nadu.
In the Nilgiris, the project was flagged off for the first time at the Coonoor Divisional Office by District Collector Innocent Divya, AIADMK District Secretary Kapachi Vinod and Coonoor MLA Shanthi Ramu. Arrangements for the event were made by District Supply Officer Kannan, Managing Director Ganapathy Subramaniam and many others.
