Coimbatore: Coimbatore Central Jail inmates maded 3 lakh masks.
Prison officials said inmates at the Coimbatore Central Jail have made more than 3 lakh face masks in the last six months. Everyone is advised to wear a mask to prevent COVID. Under the circumstances,the inmates at the Coimbatore Central Jail are engaged in making masks.
Prison officials said that more than 3 lakh masks have been made by more than 10 inmates in the last six months alone. They added that these masks that were given only to the police initially were then sold to various departments. He said that so far 2 lakh 10 thousand face masks have been sold. The mask, which was initially priced at Rs 10, is now priced at Rs 5.
