Tirupur: Farmers who protested against the Farm Bills-2020 were arrested in Tirupur.
Farmers across the country have been engaged in a series of protests insisting that the farm bills passed recently by the central government in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha should not be implemented alleging that the bills are unfavourable to the farmers.
As part of this, the All India Farmers' Protest Coordinating Committee in Tirupur took part in the struggle.
Farmers and Communists marched from the Thennampalayam area of Tirupur and staged a road roko in front of the District Collector's office.
Following this, the police on security duty arrested all the protestors.
