Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner reiterates the importance of following COVID-19 norms laid by TN Government
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner inspected the model road project pavement construction work at Coimbatore Race Course.
He said the Coimbatore Corporation is implementing various preventive measures as per the guidelines of the Government of Tamil Nadu to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The Commissioner said businesses that do not follow government's guidelines and the public who violate the norms will be fined. All the people living in the areas of Coimbatore and those who visit the city on a daily basis are advised to follow the following precautionary measures:
1. Everyone must wear a mask when going out of the house.
2. Mandatory adherence to social distancing
3. Do not spit in public places.
4. Individuals who do not comply with the above measures will be fined as follows.
- Rs.200 / - if mask is not worn
- Rs.500 / - if social distancing is not followed
- Rs.500 / - for spitting in public places
5.Saloons, beauty salons (spas), gyms, grocery stores, jewellery and clothing stores, shopping malls, businesses, including markets, and other public places must follow social distancing. Businesses that do not follow the above guidelines will be fined Rs.5000.
He said that Coimbatore Corporation requests all the people to cooperate and make the Corporation COVID-19 free.
