As part of this 3,501 shops would be in place across the state. Of this, 33 shops have been allotted to Coimbatore district.
An official with District Administration a total of 33 mobile ration shops have been allotted to Coimbatore. Anaimalai circle will have 13 shops, Kinathukadavu circle 9, Pollachi circle5, Annur circle2, Mettupalayam 1, Valparai 1, and Madukkarai 1. A total of 3703 family cards are attached under these shops. These mobile shops are reserved for areas in hilly areas with no access to ration shops.
He said the 33 mobile ration shops allotted to Coimbatore will begin operating soon.
