This is said to have caused oxygen supply malfunction leading to the death of two patients. The district collector inspected the site and assured action would be taken against the construction engineer and contractor who acted negligently.

Meanwhile a petition was submitted at the Tirupur District Collectorate today alleging that another person died due to the GH power outage last evening.



Anuradha, a resident of Mummurthy Nagar, Tirupur, was admitted to the Government Hospital on the 16th and admitted to the COVID isolated area, after she developed respiratory complications. It is alleged that she suffered respiratory failure due to the disruption of oxygen supply related to the power cut on the 21st.

Anuradha's relatives today filed a petition at the District Collector's Office demanding that the family of Anuradha, who was a widow, be given proper compensation.
