Tirupur: All trade unions in Tirupur protested seeking their seven-point demands be fulfilled and raised slogans in condemnation of the central government in front of the Welfare Department office in Tirupur.
They condemned pay cuts and layoffs. They demanded a total of Rs. 22,500 as relief for the months of April, May, June, Rs. 7500 per month, for construction workers and unorganized sector workers.

They also condemned the central government for selling public sector companies and demanded to withdraw the lockdown and 144 curfew.
