Coimbatore: All unions in Coimbatore agitate against central government emphasizing nine-point demands
Coimbatore: Demonstration on behalf of all unions in Coimbatore against the central government emphasizing nine-point demands took place near the Coimbatore District Collector's Office. The unions condemned the central government's move to sell public sector companies.

They raised slogans demanding adequate pay during the COVID-19 period, to stop layoffs, and provide relief of Rs. 7500 for three months to a total of Rs. 22,500.
They also raised slogans against Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 and demanded action for their 9-point demands.
