Ultra deluxe buses are being operated from Coimbatore to Chennai by the State Transport Corporation during the nights following the announcement of relaxations in the lockdown. The daytime Ultra Deluxe buses will run from Coimbatore Gandhipuram State Transport Corporation bus stand to Chennai from October 1.
Transport corporation officials said, 8 buses are operated to Chennai from 5pm in the evening to 10:30pm and daytime buses will be operated from October 1. They also added that a luxury bus will leave Coimbatore at 7 am daily to reach Chennai MGR bus stand via Avinashi, Bhavani, Salem, Ulundurpet and Villupuram. Bookings for the bus can be done through the Transport Corporation website and the State Transport Corporation app.
