Coimbatore: A 25-year-old construction worker who sexually abused a 4-year-old girl in Coimbatore has been arrested and jailed under the POCSO Act.
Coimbatore: A 25-year-old construction worker who sexually abused a 4-year-old girl in Coimbatore has been arrested and jailed under the POCSO Act.
Dinesh (25) is a construction worker from Chinnasalem in Kallakurichi district. While visting a relative's house in Masakalipalayam near Coimbatore a few days ago, he sexually abused a 4-year-old girl who was next door.
The girl's parents noticed the injuries on the child's body and took her to the Coimbatore GH Hospital for treatment. It was revealed that the child was sexually abused. The parents then filed a complaint at the Singanallur police station. Police investigated the complaint lodged by the girl's parents and it was revealed that Dinesh had sexually abused the girl.
Police registered a case against Dinesh under the POCSO Act, produced him before a judge and remanded him into custody. It is to be noted that Dinesh has already been arrested in a sexual assault case in Tirupur district and released on bail.
