Coimbatore Corporation is undertaking various preventive measures to curb the spread of coronavirus.
In this context, Corporation Commissioner inspected the ongoing work today wherein diagnostics for those with symptoms of cold, fever, cough and shortness of breath is conducted at a testing centre set up at a private wedding hall on Trichy Road at the East Zone of the corporation. He interacted with the health workers about their work.

Following this, the Commissioner of the Corporation inspected a mobile corona test centre in a vehicle that was stationed at the Singanallur bus stand. He interacted with the officials and asked them to direct the public to wear face masks, adhere to the social distancing. He asked to impose fines for those who do not wear face masks.
East Zone Assistant Commissioner M. Murugan, Zonal Health Officer Chandran, Supervisors and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
