Coimbatore: As many as 50 CPM cadres gathered at the CMCH and ESI hospital to protest against the management today.
Coimbatore: Pressing their demands to both the managements, CPM cadres alleged that both the hospitals do not provide proper treatment to coronavirus patients.

V. Ramamurthy, Coimbatore CPM secretary said that there’s no proper water, food, and oxygen cylinder facilities. They also alleged that only limited ambulance services are available for the transportation of COVID patients. They demanded that hospital managements should solve these issues as soon as possible.

Ramamurthy also alleged that there’s a delay in test results, adding that this might lead patients to worry unnecessarily about their health.
Responding to this, CMCH dean Kalidas said that they accept the demands, but all the issues pressed by the cadres are not what they claim to be. He also said that the hospital management has begun its work to improve sanitation.

On being asked whether the issue is being politicized, the dean responded that the protest is to show that the party represents the general public through their protests.
