Coimbatore: The Revenue Department announced that 290 petitions were received at the public grievance day meetings held in Pollachi.
In order to avoid crowds and prevent the risk of COVID infections, the grievance day meetings which usually are conducted on Mondays at the Collectorate were directed to be conducted by the Revenue Department at VAO offices.
Following this, grievances day meetings were held in Pollachi at the respective VAO offices.
Revenue Department officials, including the VAO's, received petitions from the public at the village administrator offices at the Pollachi North and South Unions today. The meeting was held at the Taluks including Pollachi, Kinathukadavu, Anamalai and Valparai.
Public were made to stand in queues with social distancing while submitting the petitions.
Pollachi Collector Vaidhyanathan said that 290 petitions have been received in Pollachi taluk today, 184 in Kinathukadavu, 232 in Anamalai and 23 in Valparai. He said the petitions would be duly investigated and immediate action would be taken.
