Man tries to break ATM at Sivananda colony

Coimbatore: A man tried to break open an SBI ATM operating at Puthuppalam, next to Sivananda Colony.


Coimbatore: A man tried to break open an SBI ATM operating at Puthuppalam, next to Sivananda Colony. Last evening, people in the vicinity heard glass breaking and rushed to the scene. They found an unidentified person trying to damage the machine with a stone.

The public surrounded the person and caught hold of him. The police control room received information as soon as there was an attempt to break the ATM. Cops arrived immediately in two vehicles.

Investigation revealed that the person who tried to break the machine was mentally deranged. He was taken to Saibaba Colony Police Station for further investigation. The incident caused quite a stir in the area for sometime.
