Coimbatore: Pollachi DMK Weavers' wing inaugurates online membership drive "Ellorum Nammudan"
On behalf of the DMK Weavers' wing in Pollachi, an online membership drive called "Ellorum Nammudan" was inaugurated.
DMK chief MK Stalin initiated the drive on the Mupperum Vizha that was held on September 15.
In continuation of this, online membership registration was held today at Kullakkapalayam village, South District, Coimbatore under the leadership of State Weavers Wing Secretary, Nagaraj.
More than 100 persons, including youngsters, joined the DMK party through this drive. All were immediately provided with copies of membership ID cards.
State Weavers' Wing Secretary, Nagaraj said, "At the behest of DMK leader MK Stalin, the families of weavers in the Kullakapalayam area were directly visited. We held a campaign that educated them about the welfare assistance rendered by DMK to the public during the pandemic. In continuation of the campaign, we have begun the online membership drive. The Weavers' Wing will conduct more such camps and keep enrolling new members."
