Coimbatore: Coimbatore water bodies are renovated and developed under the Smarty City scheme.
Coimbtore Corporation Commissioner inspected the renovation and development of Krishnampathy and Kumarasamy Selvampathy ponds in the West Zone being carried out at a budget of 19.36 and 31.25 crores, respectively. He inspected the strengthening the bunds, water purification, construction of bedland, pedestrian walkways, excess water collection tank, parks, food stalls, floating walkways, fourway road, and removak water hyacinths. He also instructed the officials to complete the projects within the stipulated time.
City Engineer A. Lakshmanan, City Executive Engineers and Assistant Engineers were also present.
