Coimbatore: A review meeting with various officials on progress of the work being carried out under the Smart City Project was held today 18.09.2020 at the Corporation Head Office, Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: A review meeting with various officials on progress of the work being carried out under the Smart City Project was held today 18.09.2020 at the Corporation Head Office, Coimbatore.
Corporation Commissioner and Special officer P. Kumaravel Pandian chaired the meeting. He instructed all the officials to complete the projects within the stipulated time.
During this review meeting, he enquired on the progress of various projects including laying of model roads under the Smart City project in the Coimbatore Corporation, laying of pipelines, telecommunication cables, rainwater drainage work and installation of decorative street lights. He also enquired about the reconstruction and reviving of all ponds/lakes/waterbodies in Coimbatore Corporation under the Smart City project, setting up and upgrading of parks, construction of multilevel car parking, construction of roads, progress of bridges and construction of underpasses. He reviewed the micro composting centers.
The Corporation Commissioner enquired about the work that has been completed and that is under progress and instructed the relevant departments offices to assign a goal time of specified number of days for the work and complete it within the stipulated time.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner S. Madhuranthagi, City Engineer A. Lakshmanan, Urban Planning Officer S. Ravichandran, Smart City Project Engineers, Assistant Engineers and other officials.
