Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian has warned that those who do not follow social distancing and wear face masks in public places like meat/fish/poultry shops, shopping malls, showrooms, jewelry, textiles, vegetable shops and markets will be fined.
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian has warned that those who do not follow social distancing and wear face masks in public places like meat/fish/poultry shops, shopping malls, showrooms, jewelry, textiles, vegetable shops and markets will be fined.
He stressed that the public must adhere to social distancing to protect themselves, their families and their communities from the spread of the coronavirus. He also added that shops that do not comply with the government's guidelines will be locked and sealed.
He said that Coimbatore Corporation has been carrying out various preventive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. He said all the shops and commercial establishments in Coimbatore Corporation must follow guidelines to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
He added that fish/poultry/meat shops should have circles with a spacing of 2 meters in order to facilitate social distancing and shops that do not comply will be fined. He said that the shop owners must insist that customers wear of face masks and follow social distancing and should entertain those who do not comply. He stressed that the public should cooperate with the city administration to make Coimbatore Corporation free of infections.
