Kodanad murder-and-heist case adjourned to September 23

The Nilgiris: The Kodanad murder-and-heist case was taken up in the Ooty District Sessions Court today. Nine people, including the main accused Sayaan and Walayar Manoj, appeared and Judge Vadamalai adjourned the case to September 23rd.

Following the High Court order to complete the murder-and-heist case of the former Chief Minister late Jayalalithaa Kodanad Estate house within 3 months, the district judge earlier ordered all the accused to appear today on the September 18th. Among the 10 accused in the case, Sayaan and Walayar Manoj lodged at Coimbatore Central jail, Manoj Samy, Udayan, Biju Kutty, Jitin Joy, Satheesan, Santosh Samy and Jamsheer Ali were produced in the court today.

Deepu, who is absconding, was not present. Four witnesses were questioned today. Judge Vadamalai ordered all the 10 to appear on 23.09.2020. The case was adjourned to the 23rd.



Apart from Santosh Samy, Satish and Jamsheer Ali, six others were taken to the Coimbatore Central Jail by the police.
