Coimbatore: A man killed his uncle out of rage in an inebriated condition near Vadivelampalayam in the outskirts of the city. The Alandurai police have imprisoned him.

Poochi (a) Dharman is a daily wage labourer from the Melapalayam area, Alandurai. His nephew Ravi (24) is also a daily wage labourer. It is alleged that Dharman and Ravi had a feud six months ago in a family temple function and that they were not on talking terms with each other.
The duo would also argue frequently about the incident. The day before yesterday, Ravi had visited a relatives house in Karunya Nagar where a death happened to offer his condolences and was returning. When he was near Vadivelampalayam, he met his uncle Dharman.
They went to a nearby forest and consumed liquor. During this time, they got into an argument and enraged by this, Ravi attacked his uncle furiously with a torch light that he had. He then ran away from the place.
Dharman who suffered grievous injuries succumbed to them on the spot. The Alandurai police who received information regarding this, retrieved the body and sent it for an autopsy to the Coimbatore GH. They were on the lookout for Ravi.
Meanwhile, they received information that Ravi was hiding near his house in Melapalayam. The police tracked Ravi down and presented him in front of a judge and imprisoned him.
