Coimbatore: 11 test positive for COVID-19 in Pollachi yesterday: 2 died
Coimbatore: The health department has reported 11 tested positive for COVID-19 in Pollachi and 2 including an old woman died yesterday.
The infected include
85-year-old male from Sarojini Road,
Pollachi 71 years old male Rangasamudram,
70 years old male from Krishnasamy Road,
64 year old male Kuchipalayam - Shakthi Garden
19 year old male from Zameen Uthukkuli
75 year old male Karapadi
48 year old female form Anaimalai Abdul Nagar
21 year old male Anaimalai Anna Nagar
35 years old male from Angalakurichi
A 55-year-old man from Ramalingam Road, Anaimalai was admitted to Pollachi Government Hospital as he went unconscious. Later, he was taken to Coimbatore ESI Hospital for further treatment. He tested positive for COVID-19 on examination and he died little later.
A 75-year-old woman from Zameen Muthur area was admitted to Pollachi Government Hospital due to ill health. Upon examination, she was diagnosed with COVID-19 infection and died.
Health department officials said disinfection works are being carried out in and around the homes of those infected.
