The heist and murder case at the Kodad estate that belonged to the former CM late Jayalalitha is being heard at the Ooty District Sessions Court.
One of the accused in the case who was being searched for by the police, Santhoshsamy, surrendered at court today. The Judge ordered the police to capture the missing Deepu and Satheesan soon. He also condemned the police for whiling away time.
Meanwhile the High Court had ordered for the District Sessions Court to pronounce a judgement in this case within three months. The court heard the case until evening today. The hearing was postponed to September 18.
The advocate defending the accused in this case, Anandan questioned, "The mystery of why the government side suddenly refused 35 witnesses in this case is unknown! Is it because the truth will come out through their testimonies??"
