Jayakumar lives in the Kamarajapuram area on Sanganoor Road, Coimbatore. His son Chandru (16) was studying in eleventh grade and was attending online classes as schools are shut due to COVID-19.
While trying to plug in the charger yesterday, he received a shock and unexpectedly was thrown away and fainted. The parents immediately took him to the government hospital for treatment, but the doctors declared him dead on arrival which shocked the parents who cried in despair. Saravanampatti police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation. The student's body was then sent for an autopsy.
