A fire broke out on West Devendra Road near Nanjundapuram in Coimbatore last night due when power lines clashed with each other.
More than 200 people live in more than 70 houses here. As strong wind blew last night causing friction between the electrical lines on the power pole near the residential area. This caused fire in the electric wires that started spearing to the houses.
Public were shocked and came out of their houses and tried to put out the fire and also informed EB employees who arrived promptly, disconnected the power supply and repaired the wires following which connectivity was restored. This caused a stir in the area for a while.
