The Nilgiris: The Coonoor Fire department conducted a mock drill of rescuing a drowning person. The public gathered in the area thought it was an actual rescue operation.


The Nilgiris: The Coonoor Fire department conducted a mock drill of rescuing a drowning person. The public gathered in the area thought it was an actual rescue operation.

The mock drill was conducted as part of the training to rescue people caught in the floods caused by rains. The drill was led by the Fire department Officer Mohan.

The public in the area were confused by this mock drill and thought that an actual rescue operation was taking place as a result of which the area appeared tense. However, when the fire department officials informed them that it was a mock drill, they were relieved.



The Fire fighters depicted the rescue of a person from sudden forest floods realistically. Fire fighters Murali, Kannan, Kumar and many others took part.
