Tense situation prevailed at the Coimbatore Government hospital, as over hundred people reportedly from a Hindu outfit gathered to pay their last respects to Biju, who allegedly is a supporter of Hindu Munnani, a pro-Hindu outfit.
Biju has been running a Soda shop and a finance company at Gokhale street in Ram Nagar, where he was hacked to death by an unidentified group of seven members, on Sunday afternoon.
As per the police reports, the murder was allegedlytriggered after Biju tried to compromise two groups. Coimbatore City Police Commissioner, Sumit Sharan on Saturday informed that four special teams have been formed to nab the seven-member group.
An argument broke out between the police and those who took part in the last rites, as over 100 two-wheelers with over 200 people planned to carry out a procession from GH to Papanaickenpalayam crematorium.
