Coimbatore: A retired teacher arrived in an ambulance to apply for changes in Aadhar card.

Julia Elizabeth (60) from Coimbatore is a retired teacher who was involved in an accident while riding a moped 4 years ago. Her right leg was seriously injured as a result of which she has been unable to walk for the last 4 years. She has been receiving treatment from home ever since.
On not receiving her pension for a few months, she enquired the concerned officials who informed her that changes in Aadhaar card must be made in order to re-apply for her pension. When her daughter went to the E-service center in Kavundampalayam and explained the situation, the personnel there said said that Julia should come in person.
Following this, Julia was taken by an ambulance to the E-service center at the district collector's office as the changes in Aadhar card were urgently needed for pension purposes. This caused a stir in the Collectorate.
