DMK MLA Karthik urges distribution of medications by Health dept through ration shops and not AIADMK party members.

Coimbatore: Singanallur DMK MLA N. Karthik in a press release has condemned the process of distributing coronavirus related medications through AIADMK party members instead of ration shops.

In a press release, the MLA has questioned why medications issued by Health department are not being distributed through a proper channel like ration shops? Instead, it is shocking to learn that AIADMK cadres are flocking the PDS and getting the medications for distribution to the public. By doing so, they are falsely creating an image that distribution of the medication is not done by the concerned ration shop officers on behalf of the Co-operative and the Health Departments, but by AIADMK party at its own cost, he accused.

He alleged that AIADMK is politicizing all issues including such sensitive matters like distribution of medicines during a pandemic situation. He said the Coimbatore East DMK strongly condemns the act and said the medicines should be distributed through ration shops.

He further accused that due to the lack of adequate bed facilities in the coronavirus treatment hospitals in Coimbatore, infected patients are left in despair. The MLA added that people are well aware of the corruptions by AIADMK government and will teach them a lesson in forthcoming elections.

Hence, MLA Karthik has requested the Health Department to make neccessary arrangements to distribute the medicines through ration shops and not involve partymen.
