Coimbatore: Coimbatore Student Islamic Organisation of India has demanded cancellation of NEET.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Student Islamic Organisation of India has demanded cancellation of NEET. A press release from the organisation said, NEET has caused depression to several medical aspirants across India. Several students in Tamil Nadu have taken their lives due to fear of NEET.

They said the NEET that claimed the lives of students including Anitha, Jothi and Sri Durga must be banned. They added it is a shame that young students in Tamil Nadu are commiting suicide due to NEET. They expressed anguish that a state that was run by stalwarts like Priyar, Kamarajar, Anna, Karunanidhi and Jayalalithaa witnessing such atrocious deaths is depressing.

They added that it is not acceptable that such deaths are allowed to occur in a state that is exemplary in the field of education. They urged the Tamil Nadu government to cancel the NEET in the state keeping in mind the welfare of the students. They also pointed out that the present day education is not doing enough to stop the students from preventing them from taking the extreme step and it is important for educationalists and social activists to stregthen the education system to provide the students with the metal strength and awareness agaisnt suicide.

In a message to the students, they said that NEET wasn't an exam that qualifies them for living life and encouraged them to consider failure as the stepping stone towards a successful future.
