Coimbatore: Students appearing for NEET in Tirupur are allowed in only after stringent checks. Arrangements are in progress for NEET taking that has been slotted to take place this afternoon. For the first time, a NEET center has been set up in Tirupur at a private school located in the Koolipalayam Naalroad area.

A total of 90 are on the ready at this school. Usually 24 students are allowed to be seated in one classroom. Due to COVID situation, only 12 students will be allowed per room today. A total of 1080 students will be appearing at this centre. Teachers from various schools in Tirupur will act as supervisors. A total of 180 supervisors at 2 per hall have been appointed.

NEET candidates from various districts like Erode, Coimbatore and Karur have arrived at the centre for the exam which will start at 2 pm and end at 5 pm. Entry of students centre began at 10 a.m.
