Coimbatore: Manithaneya Makkal Katchi protests in Pollachi demanding cancellation of NEET


Coimbatore: With the Central Government's announcement that NEET is mandatory for medical studies, student suicides are increasing in Tamil Nadu due to fear of NEET, Therefore, various parties and student bodies, including the DMK, have been protesting against NEET and demanding its cancellation in Tamil Nadu.



In this context, protests were held today on behalf of the Coimbatore South District Manithaneya Makkal Katchi at places including Pollachi BSNL office, Suleeswaranpatti municipality office and the Anamalai municipality office, demanding NEET be cancelled.

Demonstrators chanted slogans demanding the cancellation of NEET and condemning the central BJP government. Further, the protesters demanded that the Tamil Nadu government should not allow the NEET which is preying upon the lives of students of Tamil Nadu.
