Coimbatore:The District Treasury officials informed that the Integrated Financial Management Scheme has come into vogue in Coimbatore.

To reduce the use of paper in the various departments of the government, an Integrated Financial and Human Resource Management System (IFHRMS) was introduced. This system was first inaugurated in the Karur District in January. Following this, it is slowly being implemented in all the districts, one at a time.

The use of this system has not only simplified the preparation of payroll for Government employees, but also reduced the burden of the officials who are in charge of distribution of salary. This system was supposed to come into 100% use from April in Coimbatore. However, due to the COVID-19, it did not. Following this, many issues that cropped up were rectified and the system has become 100%, this month. Though the system came into use the speed of the server is extremely low.

Since the treasury employees of many districts use the IFHRMS, the serve slows down. Due to this the government employees involved in the preparation of payrolls have been struggling a lot. Since there are no issues in the evening, the preparation of payrolls is being undertaken from 6 PM to 9 PM.

Speaking about this, a District Treasury official said, "The IFHRMS has been put into use in Coimbatore District from this month. This can be used to prepare the seniority list of government employees, retirement date and payroll details accurately. Further, as per the current system, only if the payroll of government employees are provided to the bank before the 25th of the month their salary can be paid on the 30th. However, under the new process even if the payroll is provided on the 30th morning, the salaries can be credited in the afternoon."
