Coimbatore: Special investigation team should be appointed to in Kisan scheme scam case: Tamil Nadu BJP leader L Murugan
Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu BJP Coimbatore South District Secretary Vasanthraj has urged the Tamil Nadu government to take appropriate action against whoever is behind the Kisan scam and set up a special investigation team to intensify the investigation.
The Coimbatore South District Executive Committee meeting of the BJP was held today at a private wedding hall in the Kinathukadavu area. Coimbatore South district Secretary Vasanthraj presided. BJP executives, including state general secretary Selvakumar, were present.
Tamil Nadu BJP leader L Murugan, who was present at the meeting, told reporters that the Central Government was implementing the Kisan Samman Nidhi for the benefit of farmers and it is condemnable that fake beneficiaries have received funds through this. The Government of Tamil Nadu should take appropriate action against whoever is behind this scam and set up a special investigation team to look into this scandal, he said.
He also said that trilingual education is practiced in CBSE and matriculation schools in Tamil Nadu, but most of the students belonging to SC, ST and OBC classes in Tamil Nadu who are studying in government schools do not enjoy this privilege. He accused DMK leader MK Stalin of following modern untouchability when it comes to trilingual education policy.
He also questioned whether Stalin could direct schools run by DMK members to announce that they would only follow the bilingual policy. Tamil Nadu BJP leader also said that people belonging to scheduled castes are ignored in the DMK and a recent example is that A. Raja who belongs to that category could not apply for the post of treasurer in the party.
