Coimbatore: A student of class 12 near Coimbatore consumed cow dung powder and killed herself as her parents rebuked her for using cellphones continuously.
Coimbatore: A 17-year-old student from Annur in Coimbatore district allegedly committed suicide at her home after she was allegedly scolded by her father for spending more time on phone.
Upset over her father's rebuttal over phone usage, Ragini (name changed) who is a student of Annur Government Higher Secondary School, consumed cow-dung powder at her residence at Vadakkalur, Annur area.
She was rushed to Annur government school after her parents found her in an unconscious state. After administering treatment, the doctors advised to shift her to Coimbatore GH for critical treatment.
Following this, she was shifted to the Coimbatore GH where she succumbed. After an autopsy, her mortal remains were handed over to her parents.
