Coimbatore: Minister of Municipal Administration, Rural Development and Special Projects, SP Velumani inaugurated the bhoomi puja for developmental projects worth Rs. 4 crore, 63 lakh and 45 thousand in the South Zone of Coimbatore Corporation.

He also inaugurated a gymnasium that has been built at a cost of 10 lakhs.
The projects that were inaugurated in the South Zone are:
Project worth 28 lakhs at Indira Nagar under ward no.76
Project worth 45 lakhs at Sarojini Nagar and Thillai Nagar
Project worth 93 lakhs at Shasta Nagar, Rajiv Avenue, Narayanasamy Nagar and Chidambaram Colony
Project worth 105 lakhs at Priya Nagar, Anna Nagar, Dwaraka Nagar, Jayaraj Nagar and Dhanalakshmi Gardens
Project worth 125.45 lakhs for installing street lights on the Perur Main Road from Sivalaya Mahaal to Noyyal River Bridge
He also inaugurated a gymnasium that has been built at the Thiru Vi Ka Nagar area at a cost of 10 lakhs.

Corporation Commissioner N. Kumaravel Pandian, Deputy Commissioner S. Madurantaki, Municipal Engineer P. Parvathy, Assistant Commissioner - South Zone T. R. Ravi and Executive Engineer (Smart City) Saravanakumar, officials and a large number of members of the public participated in the events.
