Coimbatore: A satirical WhatsApp message guaranteeing a free trip to paradise has been doing the rounds from the residents of Mohan Nagar at the 97th ward in Coimbatore.

Mocking the condition of the roads in their area and calling them 'roadway to paradise', the message also informs that the trip is easy as all one has to do is just put a foot outside the door and they will reach paradise easily. Further the message thanked the authorities of L&T, the workers and other officials with folded hands for making this project possible and conveyed heartfelt thanks to them. This message was circulated on the WhatsApp group of the area residents.

Speaking about this the people of the area said, "The Corporation Administration dug holes to begin the construction of the drainage water treatment plant, three months ago. However, since they were not closed down properly, the drinking water pipelines were broken. Even when the repair work was done, the holes were not closed properly. The rains that poured a few days ago caused the rain water to stagnate and made the roads muddy. When the Corporation administration came down for other work, the public insisted that the damaged roads be relaid first and only then other project works can be undertaken. Following this they went back."

The WhatsApp message reads, " Free trip to paradise, interested people are welcome to our area!. There is a special arrangement to break your hands and legs! You can play the game of slip and fall!"
