Coimbatore: Three staff including, a Chef of Hotel Residency Towers on Avinashi road, Coimbatore has been tested positive for Covid-19.
In the recent lockdown relaxation norms, the Tamil Nadu government has given a nod to re-open restaurants and hotels. However, clear protocols have been given to the hotel managements to ensure safety of the customers and frequently check staffs for Covid symptoms.
Commenting on this, Residency Hotel's General Manager, Charles Fabian clarified that a Chef and two other staff at the hotel have been tested positive for Covid-19. Two of the staff have been admitted at ESI hospital, while the Chef is treated at a private hospital.
According to a senior health official, tests have been conducted for the crew members of the hotel and results are awaited.
With 5-6 weddings having taken place in the last 3 weeks, the public who attended the weddings are asked to report to the health department, if they have any symptoms of Covid-19.
