Traffic congestion has been increasing steadily in Coimbatore. To control this, the City Traffic Police have been undertaking various measures.
The RTO Office on Balasundaram road is a place where hundreds of people flock to get their FC, driving license and registration of new vehicles and many other transport related documents. All these visitors tend to park their vehicles on the sides of the RTO office Road.Parking of two wheelers, cars, lorries and many other vehicles leads to heavy traffic congestion in the area.
Speaking regarding this, the DCP (Traffic) Mutharasan said, "To control the traffic on Balasundaram road, all vehicles that come to the RTO office have been advised not to be parked on the roadsides. Action is being taken to control the traffic congestion on this road."
