Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner P. Kumaravel Pandian inspected COVID-19 Care Centers functioning at the East Zone of Coimbatore Corporation.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, various prevention measures are being undertaken effectively by the Coimbatore Corporation. Patients with COVID-19 are admitted at Coimbatore Government Hospital, ESI hospital and CODISSIA and for treatment.
Special camps are conducted in all the five zones of the Corporation and COVID screening is done and infected people are offered treatment.
In continuation of this, the Corporation Commissioner inspected the COVID-19 Care Center at CODISSIA, where people with lower degrees of infection are being treated. Further, he inspected the COVID-19 Care Center that has been set up at a private auditorium on Kalapatti road in the East Zone with 316 beds. He inspected the sanitation, drinking water, toilet, electricity and treatment facilities. He also interacted with the healthcare professionals such as doctors and nurses.
The East Zone Deputy Commissioner Murugan, City Welfare Officer Dr. S. Raja, doctors, nurses and health inspectors were present for the inspection.
