COVID-19: The Nilgiris reports 61 new cases and 34 recoveries

The Nilgiris: The district of The Nilgiris on Thursday reported a spike of 61 new COVID-19 cases and 1 related fatality, taking the total number of infections to 1,720 and death toll to 12.







The Nilgiris: The district of The Nilgiris on Thursday reported a spike of 61 new COVID-19 cases and 1 related fatality, taking the total number of infections to 1,720 and death toll to 12.

The number of active cases stood at 335 today.

The details of the single death today are:

A 62 Years old Female from Nilgiris having COVID 19 RTPCR Positivity on 27.08.2020, admitted on 28.08.2020 at 01.05AM at GHQH Ooty with complaints of Fever,Cough and Difficulty in Breathing for 2 days, died on 02.09.2020 at 05.05PM due to ARDS / COVID-19 Pneumonia.

In some positive news, the district discharged 34 recovered patients today, taking the tally of recoveries to 1,373.
