The laying of the 2.7 km model road in Race Course in the Central Zone of the Coimbatore Corporation is being undertaken under the Smart City projects at a cost of Rs.40.71 crores. The Corporation Commissioner who inspected the work ordered the concerned authorities to complete the laying of underground electricity lines, telecommunication cables, pedestrian sidewalks, rainwater drainage and setting up of decorative street lights and notice boards, on time.
Smart City project Executive Engineer Saravanakumar, Assistant Executive Engineers Karuppusamy and Kalavathi, Assistant Engineer Kamalakannan, Zonal Health Officer Radhakrishnan and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
