Coimbatore: The delay in publishing the test results of COVID-19 patients has led to the increase of COVID cases, charged the Pollachi City DMK and laid siege to the office of the Sub-Collector.
The spread of COVID-19 has been increasing day in and day out in Pollachi and its surrounding areas. Meanwhile, the results of COVID-19 testing done at the Pollachi Government hospital are being published nearly seven days after.
Hence, the DMK alleges that the spread of the disease from an infected person is happening faster and the public are being exposed to infection more and more.

Stating these issues, the Pollachi City DMK cadres led by the DMK City Council In-charge Varadarajan laid siege to the office of the Sub-Collector.
They demanded that test results must be announced in a single day. The hospital administration and the District Administration must take measures to provide the results in a timely manner.
The DMK City Council In-charge Dr. Varadarajan said, "Only if the results are published in one day, then the spread of the disease can be controlled."
