Integrated Air Cargo Complex inside the Coimbatore International Airport provides services to various destinations both in the domestic and international sectors.
Each year, on an average, 10,000 tonnes of cargo are handled in the domestic sector and more than 3,500 tonnes of cargo are handled in the international sector. The Coimbatore cargo section is witnessing a steady growth. Recently it has been listed in the top ten at the national level by 'AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied services'.
Under the circumstances, Air India has opened an exclusive cargo office at the cargo terminal.
The Director of the Airport, R. Mahalingam inaugurated the office at a function held today. Speaking about this initiative 'Air India Limited' station manager, Coimbatore Girija Ramesh said Simplicity, "We have taken a small space inside the AAI Cargo complex. From now on, customers can directly walk into our office for freight booking, delivery of goods, etc. We offer services in both domestic and international sectors."
