Heavy rains in Ooty led to landslides in the Goods Shed area near the Railway station. Following this, a 50 feet barricade wall in the vicinity collapsed because of which more than 200 houses at the Police Quarters and the nearby areas stand the danger of collapse.
Since the road is one of the main connectors to Gudalur, the Highways Department has advised the public to exercise caution while operating vehicles in the area.
