Coimbatore: The Valparai Tahsildar held a meeting with hotel owners in the area to discuss the COVID-19 prevention measures that must be complied with to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

There are more than 300 hotels in the Rotti kadai and Sholayar dam areas of Valparai city. As a part of the COVID-19 prevention measures the TN government has banned the hotels from remaining open.

As per the current relaxation announced in the lockdown, E-pass must be provided for tourists to come into Valparai. Owing to this, a consultation meeting was held with the hotel owners by the Valparai Tahsidar Rajan at the Taluk office.

During the meeting, it was insisted that in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 hand sanitizers must be used, rooms and the surrounding areas must be sprayed with disinfectants and kept clean, and wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing must be followed.
Tahsildar Rajan, VAO Vijay Amirtharaj and fifty hotel owners took part in the meeting.
